Years 5 and 6

English Year 5

This term students have done an excellent job in organising themselves and getting through the term with very little disruption. We also have our own English classroom now which has been a wonderful adjustment.

Students have worked effortlessly on many different ‘explanation’ writing pieces. They can explain how a volcano erupts and how certain foods are good for our bodies.

They have also been reading MOLLY MOON’S INCREDIBLE BOOK OF HYPNOTISM and will continue this in Term 4.

Students have also worked collaboratively in groups to create their own news segment. After watching a particular segment from Behind the News students researched and developed their own versions.

Unfortunately, my time with the Year 5 students came to an end on August 30th, when I began my parental leave. I definitely had so much fun with Year 5 and have built so many amazing memories! I wish all Year 5 students the very best and thank you for all your hard work and dedication!
